The exam date for UPPSC PCS and ACF/ RFO 2020 exam has been released by UPPSC along with its official calendar but due to uncertainties in the execution of the plan because of the coronavirus pandemic and the consequent lockdown it can be delayed. The Prelims exam is tentatively scheduled to be held on 11th October 2020 while the mains exam will he held on 22nd January 2021. The other important dates related to Online Application are given below. However, given below are tentative dates for UPPSC 2020 PCS and ACF/ RFO exam.
UPPSC PCS Prelims Exam Pattern
The Prelims exam of UPPSC PCS 2020 is an offline mode of examination having 2 papers in different shift. The total marks allotted for each paper is 200 and the total time allotted for the completion of each Paper of Prelims exam is 2 hours. The total number of questions in Paper-1 (General Studies I) are 150 while Paper-2 is of 100 marks.

Important Points:
1. Paper-II of the Preliminary Examination will be a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%.
2. It is mandatory for the Candidates to appear in both the papers of Preliminary Examination.
3. The merit of the Candidates will be determined on the basis of marks obtained in Paper-I of the Preliminary Examination.
UPPSC PCS Mains Exam Pattern
The UPPSC PCS mains written examination will consist of six compulsory and two optional Papers. The time allotted for each paper is 3 hours. The Pattern & and syllabus for mains examination is provided below:

Personality Test (Interview)
The Personality Test (VIVA-VOCE) will constitute of 100 marks. The test will relate to the matter of general interest keeping the matter of academic interest in view and for general awareness, intelligence, character, expression power/personality, general suitability for the service, some general knowledge questions and current topics.

The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate and candidates have to correctly answer 100-105 questions in paper-I in order to be eligible for Mains. Only 33% is required in paper-2 which is qualifying in nature.
